Markus Hockenson

CEO and President

Markus joined the organization in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer and was named Chief Executive Officer in June of 2018. He has previous experience as SVP of Retail Operations at both TBC Corporation and Advance Auto Parts. He brings over 25 years of executive experience and leadership both domestically and internationally. He began his career having worked for multiple fortune 500 companies, including, Starbucks Coffee Company and Enterprise Holdings International. He received his BA Degree from the University of California, Davis.

Jim Wilder

Chief Information Officer

Jim Wilder joined the organization in 2016 as Chief Information Officer. He was formerly a Market Chief Information Officer at DaVita, a Fortune 500® company. Overall, he brings 20 years of executive experience, most of which in Healthcare. He has been an active speaker at industry forums on both technology and healthcare regulatory changes. He received his MBA with a specialty in Healthcare from the University of Miami School of Business.

Lisa Melamed

Chief Legal & Compliance Officer

Lisa Melamed joined the organization in 2017 as the VP, Corporate Compliance and General Counsel. She formerly served as the VP of Corporate Compliance and General Counsel for the Laser Spine Institute. She joins the team with over 16 years of experience, most of which is in the health care industry. Lisa has a BS from the University of Miami, JD from the University of Florida, and Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Corporate Compliance at George Washington University.

Jonathan Simmons

VP, Sales

Jonathan Simmons joined the organization in 2010 to lead the Call Center Sales Team. In 2012 he became Director of Business Development and was promoted to VP of Sales in 2015. He has been instrumental in the development of new business revenue channels. He has previous Sales & Marketing experience from Hilton Grand Vacations and Holiday Inn Club Vacations. He received a BS from the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Bill Tullo

VP, Clinical Services

Bill Tullo became a part of the organization in 1999. He is a board certified optometrist with 27 years of optometric and ophthalmic experience. He completed his BS at Stony Brook University and his OD at the SUNY College of Optometry.

Dr. Tim Giles

VP, Clinical Services, LVI

Tim Giles became a part of the organization in 2015. He is a board certified optometrist with 33 years of optometric and ophthalmic experience. He completed his BS at the University of California, Riverside and his OD at the Southern California College of Optometry. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry as well as a long standing member of the American Optometric Association.

Thomas Piteo

VP, Real Estate & Procurement

Thomas Piteo joined the organization in 2006 and brings over 30 years of experience in construction and procurement. He formerly served as VP of Facilities and Development with Great Expressions Dental Centers, and was VP of Store Development for OfficeMax, Inc. Since 1988, he has successfully completed more than 38 million square feet of construction projects in North America and overseas. He has a BS in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University, Fenn College of Engineering.

David Tripp

VP, Human Resources

David Tripp joined the organization in 2017 as Vice President, Human Resources. David’s career includes more than 25 years as a Human Resources leader with extensive experience in organizational transformation, alignment, change management and engagement. David played baseball in college at Clemson University and professionally with the Oakland Athletics. Utilizing his sports background, David incorporates many of the same winning/high performing team principles. David received both a Bachelor’s of Science in Management and Master’s of Human Resource Development from Clemson University.

Linck Bascomb

VP, Managed Care & Group Sales

Linck Bascomb joined the organization in 2015 as the Vice President of Managed Care and Group Sales. Prior to joining the company he was a founder and President of QualSight which developed the largest credentialed network of laser eye surgeons nationwide. He received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Dayton.

VP, LVI West & Elite Centers

Ryan Crawford joined the organization in 2017 as the VP, Acquisition Operations.
He has over 20 years of experience in eye care and retail store operations. In Ryan's most recent roles he served as Regional Vice President of store operations for TBC Corporation. He has also had experience in leadership roles at Advance Auto Parts, Eye Care Centers of America formerly known as Visionworks. Ryan attended school at The University of Texas at Dallas for Electrical Engineering.

VP, Strategic Initiatives

David joined Vision Group in 2018 as VP, Strategic Initiatives. He previously worked as a management consultant in Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice, helping clients address their most pressing strategic and operational business issues. Prior to Deloitte, David worked for American Express. He has an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a BS in Marketing from Penn State University.
